Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra Review (2025)

Home » Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra

Introduction

Samsung has recently launched their flagship phone S25 Ultra on January 22nd 2025. This phone does not have more cosmetic changes, instead they have added new features.

Ultra is the most expensive and most feature packed device out of the line up. We have 2 more devices in the series which are S25 and S25 Plus. This lineup of flagships start at a cost of INR 80,999/-

Let’s first look at changes on the outside. This time it’s lighter than its predecessor S24 Ultra. Light weight does not mean it has compromised on the quality. It’s stronger on both sides this time. It comes with Corning Gorilla Armor 2 this time as compared to Corning Gorilla Armor on S24 Ultra.

Also the frame is Titanium Grade 5 as compared to the Titanium Grade 2. The phone also comes with IP68 certification similar to last year’s flagship.

Let us look further on changes and improvements Samsung has done after listening to the users feedback over the previous one. In terms of physical or visible changes we don’t see a lot of them but we definitely are sure that it’s not the case.

Let us take you through all that has changed.

Table of Contents

Design & Display

The build quality feels better when you gold this in hand. The corners are a bit sharp this time but definitely feels light and more polished and premium.

The sturdy build with titanium frame feels good in the hand. On the front that huge edge to edge display keeps your eyeballs locked on them. High resolution display with 120HZ refresh rate definitely will help you get that smooth feel.

Diving further into the details the display section we see the same 3120 x 1440 (Quad HD+) LTPO AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate that gives you a smooth experience and can also go upto 2600 nits of brightness to give you that easy visibility outdoors in the bright day light.

The display has gone from 6.8 inches to 6.9 inches by reducing the bezels on the sides. There is no change in the overall dimensions though.

Performance & Software

This powerful device is capable of handling anything you would get on the play store cause we see the latest and the greatest chipset by Qualcomm (Snapdragon 8 Elite) in this device based on 3 nm architecture that makes it more powerful without draining down the battery.

The 3 nm architecture allows the processor to deliver more performance consuming less power. To handle the performance and multitask alongside it comes equipped with 12GB RAM, and multiple storage options starting from 256GB being the lower variant going up till 1TB of storage.

A powerful hardware setup like this needs a smooth fluidic UI that gives the user a smooth and stable experience. Samsung has deliberately put efforts in improving the One UI by optimizing it and making it intuitive and user friendly.

Camera Highlights

The camera battle between iPhone and Samsung has been going on for a long time now. Samsung has actually made a lot of improvements and has been competing well with the iPhone. In terms of hardware we see the primary camera remains the same 200MP sensor.

The telephoto lens at 10MP and Periscope lens at 50MP is the same camera setup from last year. The change we see in cameras is in the wide angle camera which is the 4th lens on this camera setup.

This lens has been upgraded from 12MP to 50MP this year with wider aperture which means better quality even in the low light situations. I have also mentioned a camera performance score below that will help you understand how individual camera modules perform.

Battery & Charging

In the battery section everything remains the same. It seems Samsung got a feeling that the users are happy with the performance of the battery in S24 Ultra.

They have kept the same battery with capacity of 5000 mAh and charges at max 45W. It does also support wireless charging at 15W. Samsung does provide a 45W charger though it comes only with a USB C cable to charge your phone.
